Co-founded in 2011 by former ATP pro Cecil Mamiit and performance specialist Joel Dacay, Tennis Mechanix is a Burbank day academy for juniors ages 4–18. Per ATP/Wikipedia records, Mamiit reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 72 on October 11, 1999, and in 1996 won the NCAA singles championship as a USC freshman — a feat not achieved since John McEnroe at Stanford in 1978.
